(For the purpose of not confusing 'class' with 'Class', I'll be writing 'resource type' instead of 'class' in this document. I will also be using 'resource' as a common denominator for 'Class', 'Texture', 'Sound' and 'Mesh'.)
The Loader was designed for Unreal Tournament, to easily load any resource from a package from within the game. Classes, textures, sounds and meshes can all be loaded.
Version 2 is made even easier, and suitable to the public.
The loading is done through console, and the syntax is as follows:
mutate load [package1.item1] [item2] [item3] [...] [package2.item1] [item2] [item3] [...]
Where 'packageX' is the package name, and 'itemX' is the resource name. Case is non-sesitive, and don't include the square brackets.
A message somewhat similar to the above can be shown by typing only "mutate load".
"item2" and "item3" are loaded from the same package as the previous "item1" in the above example, so it would be the same as
mutate load [package1.item1] [package1.item2] [package1.item3] [...] [package2.item1] [package2.item2] [package2.item3] [...]
There is no imposed limit to the number of resources you can load simultaneously in this mutator.
If a resource could not be found, it will skip that resource and load the rest. If you forget to specify a package name (or just missed that dot) for the first resource however, no resources will be loaded.
Note that all resource types are trialed and loaded, so if you have (in example) a texture and a sound of the same name in a package, both will be loaded.
For this reason you may want to see exactly what was loaded. To do so, add these lines (without tabs) in an appropriate INI file (IE Default.ini):
[Loader2.Loader2]
bVerbose=True
Hopefully, that'll be all you need to get rolling.
